Tom Long has been the Director of Golf and resident Head PGA golf professional at the Kinloch Club since April 2007. It’s arguable that no one understands the Kinloch course better than Tom, in 2007 Tom assisted the Nicklaus design team in determining the position of a number of the Black tee boxes.
With an impressive professional background including qualifying as a British PGA professional in 1994, competing professionally in Europe between 2001 and 2004, and as a regular contributor to ‘The Cut’ New Zealand’s number one commercial golf magazine, you can be sure you’re getting outstanding instruction to lower your handicap.
Tom has extensive experience of working with golfers, from beginners through to scratch players. His golf teaching credentials are equally as impressive as a corporate teaching professional in Dubai and the Caribbean Islands and as a Director of golf in Italy. He’s even appeared on the Sky Sports HSBC golf show with instructional tips.
When it comes to best scores at Kinloch, Tom’s impressive results are:
63 (-9) from the Blue Tees and 67 (-5) from the Black Tees. But his most satisfying round was a one club challenge (no gimmies) in which he scored a gross 74 from the Blue Tees with just a 6 iron.
